Question want should i get crossover or eq

Want should i get a crossover or eq. I getting two amplifier. I want to get the Alpine 5755 but I don't think it will fit in the dash. i need some help. i have a 94 protege.

I tend to like the crossovers more, they are more usable , and can work really well with more than 2 amps,, I had one that would controll up to 3 amps , wich I thought was really cool ... look into the crossovers. mtx makes a killer one

To me the first question would be, what are you wanting to do? Tune speakers, or tune sound and use the stock crossovers. Yes there is an overlap in the two products, cut they will not do each others jobs...

good point, but parametric EQs will serve both in a nice 1/2 din size not as user friendly as a trunk mountable unit (adjustment pots on the body are set prior to installation)Directed Audio has a real nice one, model 5500 IIRC, their top model.
