How does the plastic from around the tweeters come off??? didnt wanna break anything thats why i asked.. got new 1" in. power acoustic tweeters and wanna change them out..
any help is appreciated!

 

do you mean the actual pod? if so, then they just pop off. The tweeter should then be able to be removed from the pod. OR you can just go get some new blank panels from a regular protege and surface mount your new ones.

 

In my ex's car, she had factory tweeters in the corner of the window. Although the grill exposes tweeter, I would think the entire pod would have to be removed. if it is any thing like a 2001 ES, then it is very easy to pop right off and snap back on.
