Tail Lights

What are the best types of tial lights out on the market right now? I have a 1999 Protege, and I am looking to make some upgrades to it. Also, where is the best place to buy them? Any help would be appreciated.

Those are sweet. I have a black 99 Protege, so those would also look good on my car. Where did you order them from? How much did they cost you?

Do any of the Canadian Protege owners on here know if there is somewhere in Canada that sells the aftermarket Tail Lights for a good price? That would save money for the shipping from the U.S.A. to here. Thanks for everyones help so far.

Crappy Tire sells APC products, so I'm sure they can get you the tail lights for the sedan as APC makes them. Here are the three that I found.

404179TLCF Mazda Protege 98-Up (Carbon Fiber) Euro Tail Lens
***I couldn't find a carbon fibre pic***

I really like the EuroTec Tail Lens. Right now I'm tryin' to save up some money to get it. And those carbon fiber ones always go well with a black car.

Are your break lights out because the top circle should light up with your driving lights. My favorite are the new all red ones from APC. I got them for $140 shipped from Street Beat Customs.

Oh and btw, they won't fit a 98.

Nope, the bottom 2 light up with the driving lights, and the top one only lights up when I hit the brakes...

Hmm...thats weird. All of mine light up when I turn on the driving lights. Maybe you need to replace your bulbs. One of mine did what yours does, and I replaced the bulb so they would all light up. Even though the brake light was still working.

I heard that aftermarket tail lights are bad for water leakage/condensation. Any truth to this?

True. I thought I had a magical pair of APC taillights. I had them on for about 2-3 weeks. no fogging, no condensation. Even after rain, washing the car.

then just about 2-3 days ago, I noticed the condensation... so yeap, its there.
