I did a search...and I found quite a few negartive coments about the Protege5 Altezza tail lights.... Now my problem is that I have a smashed tail light and to replace it, Mazda Canada will charge me 310 Canadian dollars for just one light!!!!!! NOw this really sucks.

Therefore I was thinking, why not get the Altezza tail lights for 189 US Dollars, since I will get the pair and not just one.

sorry...but I think they are ugly....and I personally would rather lay out the extra beans for the stock lights.

 

try to find a used stock tail light or set. maybe try and send a PM to a protege owner who you know has the Altezza lights...... they may want to sell the stock lights.

i think the altezzas match the front headlights better than the stock ones, not much into altezza myself but if you like them dont worry about what others say, do what you want. and saving a hundred dollars is nice also

 

well, the largest problem with altezza's tails is well, they're altezza tails.

they remind me of IS300's which is okay, but the IS300 reminds me of a 7th gen. civic with a body kit.

but they do look better than i thought they would. if they made carbon fiber looking ones, of just black instead of silver, id be there. but then they wouldnt match the american P5's headlight housing. oh well.

Well, if you order those Altezza lights, and if you don't want them I will trade you my stock ones for the altezzas.

Have you tried For Sale section on this Forum? There might be a ricer who just got his altezzas for his P5, and wants to sell the stock ones. Or you can never be wrong with a junkyard.

If they are cheaper and YOU like them, then go for it.

I think the stock tail lights look like complete crap. They are so ugly its amazing they didtn design nicer ones. I prefer the earopean familia tail lights.


If you do get the altezzas.. tint the glass and nice red over the chrome, it will give an amazing look. Especialluy on a yellow car
