Swapping stock radios

I just purchased a 04 5d, and to my surprise I have found a slightly newer (didnt read the tags) 3 sedan sitting out back at my body shop, totalled. It will make the perfect parts car nonetheless.

My stock radio does not have an aux input, the parts car does. The radios are identical, 6-disc in dash and everything, despite mine having the Tape/MD button and the other having a Media button in the same location. Would it be possible for me to remove my radio, install the other one, and take the wiring from the center console for the aux input and route it the same way in my car?

Im not sure if the harnesses will be compatible and whatnot, as I haven't even had the chance to remove mine. Dont really want to unless I know for sure it will work.
