I'm with the other guys about keeping the stock lights. I think, especially with the silver car, you might want a darker colored housing (rather than chrome).
For example, if you look at the first generation of the Lexus RX300- it has the lights with chrome bezels and clear cover, but the housing is painted a dark metallic red. Maybe you could ge the clear lights (gen 3 is my pic), take off the clear cover lens, paint the housing- where it's usually chrome, and replace the lens.
It, would add a nice custom touch to your car too- not just another ricer, or redneck (they have them for Chevy's, too) who bought some lights and installed them.
