aight first theres no neons on my car and never will be. second, i have one of the hottest cars on the site so dont even start talkin about mods ********. how can you call me a poser? there is barely a handful of people that have done the same things as i have. you defanitely were the immiture one who started all this **** with a dumb post, so you can't call yourself mature. last, moding cars is not all about money, ive installed everything myself, including my kit. i've never paid full price for anything on my car. its not about money, its about being smart and getting deals and breaks along the way. you make yourself look pretty bad when you talk about others' cars when you drive a virtually stock protege. thats pretty weak. if "anybody" is capable of doing bolt-ons, where are all your bolt-ons at?

lets review for those a little slow. see above.

Im not interested in modifying my protege. I build high horsepower V8 powered cars, not econoboxes.

And Ive seen complete mechanical idiots with very nice, fast cars, because they have money. Im not saying I dont appreciate guys who find deals and do thier own work, I do. I used to be one of them. Ive gotten away from moddifying cars lately because its just not a priority in my life right now.

My point was that you shouldnt say your better than someone you know nothing about because you bolted a bunch of crap on your car, which is what you implied earlier, and is a sign of inmaturity. Im not making this **** up, I just call it like I see it.

I personally cant stand neon lights or those lights on the windshield washer sprayers. To me, that is not making a nice car, but taking away from the car. But if you like it, do it, its your car, do whatever you want to it. I never intended for anything I said to be taken personally.

I am not taking sides, nor am I saying that your car doesn't look good. Just remember that there is a lot more to a car than just looks

You sure you want to do that? That might take some actual real mechanical ability and brains. Dont want you to get in over your head. Maybe you can glue another wing on the back or something?

Good luck whatever you decide.

it only seems like teaming up, but everyone was against you in the first place...
i dont think ive seen a single post in this thread that backs you up, if that is any indication of how stupid you are making yourself out to be...and when you say your going to be more mature, you should have tried to be so mature before you generalized 16 year olds

$207 that is insane. I would fight it. Maybe the judge won't be as big of a ***** as the cop.

illegal lighting... haha

trust me, thats the first exterior modification that i did to my car. any strobe lights, undercar neons, and any lights hampering your ability to see at night are illegal on your car... in pennsylvania, though most states are the same. you can cut the wires, take pictures of you cutting the wires and basically show them to the judge and he might knock your fine down. i got nailed for my blue windshield leds and got a $94 dollar fine and i just got nailed for those interior neons... at least the one i had mounted over my rear window... thats illegal as well. blue turn signals are illegal, green is illegal, any interior lighting that is not stock is technically illegal, although very few law enforcement officers will nail you over it. but, if you get a real **** officer, they can nail you for having aftermarket fog lights... granted they're not far enough apart. the best thing is to be happy with what the factory gave you, don't do any lighting that is visible outside of the car and if you do do anything, nothing blinking or that hurts your vision at night.. and for god's sake, if you put interior lights in your car, turn them off when not trying to show off for friends or what have you, because should you get pulled over, an officer is most likely to notice.

EDIT: Oh yeah, i forgot to mention...err, what were those unintelligent words...damn it, i can't think straight..oh wait, i remember, SHUT THE **** UP! phew, thank you, sorry bout the confusion, back to arguing you go

Blue neons.... lol. i never understood why people "mod" their cars with them.

Cosmetically, having them on your hood, from a distance makes your car have a higher profile. thats one reason why people have there fog lights, to make their car look lower from a distance.

I do have the say tho. I have seen them on this 37 yr old's supercharged miata. lol... don't ask me why he did it.

I think it looks just as bad as two toned cars. but thats my personally opinion. go figure.

and I did not even bother to come on protegeclub to post about it ...
you can do the same, or could have, by now it is to late and you probably have to appear to court..... all i can say = GOOD LUCK

good to hear that it was dropped.

at least you didnt end up like me. i had blue neons on my old Celica. stopped by cop, arrested and thrown in jail for three days.

finally, had it overturned and sued the cop for negligence. i won the case and the officer no longer has a badge.
