Stock head unit with speaks and amp!
Just completed installing a 600watt amp and a set of Polk tweeters to go along with the Polks I already installed in the car about a month ago. Definately works 110% better!!!!
Here's a couple things that might help you if you are doing so yourself...this is the first time I've installed an amp, etc so you may already be light years ahead of what I did...if not, enjoy!
1. Run the speaker wires thru the plug at the rear doors (under the rubber seal). Drill out the top of the inside portion and slide the wires thru...they'll go thru a space in the outside part of the plug.
2. I ran the front speaker wires like so: passenger side slid thru the space between the plug and the frame nearest you when you look at the plug...no problem. The driver side isn't that easy...unplug the driver side plug and drill out the side of the outside portion of the plug as you look at it (side towards rear of car), then run the wire thru. Put the rubber seal back on the plug prior to re-connecting the plug.
3. I ran the power wire along with the wiring harnass near the hood release cable. Take off the left front fenderwell splashguard and follow the harnass. Drill a hole thru the rubber seal where the harnass goes thru the car, making sure you don't hit any wires...I pulled the rubber plug/seal out away from the car and it was easy. Then run the cable down the side of the car to your amp.
All in all it wasn't to hard...if you've done one before you'd breeze thru it. Also had to get 2 RCA adaptors cause I kept the stock stereo unit.
Just add a Drowning Pool CD and you're good-to-go!!!!
