stinger 10" grills for P5 custom box--

Well, it has begun. I am now in the process of making the custom P5 subwoofer boxes. I want to use the stinger MGR10 grills, but the best price I have found on them is $12.99 each on sound domain. Anyone know where I can find these cheaper? None of the local stinger dealers are willing to give me a break.
I will buy them at this price if I can't find a better deal, but if I do the savings will be passed along to my customers.
Thanks,
JG

I may just end up building my own grills. Now here is the question:
Would people be willing to pay a few dollars extra to have a metal mesh grill that has the chance of vibrating and coloring the sound but offers superior protection for the woofer, or would people be content with a flush mount grill made of wood and grill cloth? Any feedback on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
JG

I think a metal grille would look better, but I can see that it may pose a problem for SQ. What about screwing the grille to a piece of wood, then gluing the wood to the enclosure. Would that work to reduce the chances of vibration/colouring?

Personally, I need a grille - too much crap going on in my trunk not to have one.

But I would be perfectly willing to buy a box (any box - yours included) and install my own grille on top of the woofer.

I'm using a Kicker grille right now - pretty cool.

And Blue LEDs - great idea on the door pods - I'd be real interested to see how those come out. Any chance you'll do it? What about kick pods?

don't mean to step on anyone's toes or anything, but once I get the first run of sub boxes built, I was thinking of maybe doing some kick panels to sell if anyone is interested.

Hey maxxbling, I would be willing to pick up your sub enclosure. Just one question, about how much would you be looking to sell one of these bad boys?

I had posted a preliminary figure of 175.00 plus shipping for 10 inch versions, 200.00 plus shipping for 12 inch versions. Everything is still in th r&d stage, so these figures are just a guesstimate, but I will be updating everyone of my progress.
