Question speakers configuration...

In a normal speaker configuration in a Pioneer 50wx4 (DEH-P3600), you have front left, front right, rear left and rear right, you got 4 speakers.

But what happend if you conect two speakers to front left and two speakers to front right?

I want to install 4 Infinity speakers of 6 1/2 250w to each door of my pro and connecting 2 speakers to front left and 2 speakers to front right.
In the rear of the rear seat I will install 2 Infinity 6x9 300w, 1 to rear left and 1 to rear right. Each speaker has 4 ohms and the pioneer has 4 ohms to, but connecting 2 speaker together, what happend, can be done?

I dunno' - that is a lot of cutting for the front doors...

I would recommend ONE 6.5 per door. If oyu need more 'volume' - add a sub to the hatch driven by another amp.

Also, get the tweeter pods from an 02.5 and up P5 and get separates! In a ddition to the door speaker, they put a tweeter (and the 'highs') up close to your ears - so it sounds like a concert in front of you - not down around your ankles!

Fancy term - proper soundstaging...

I’m guessing that you have a sedan not the P5. If this is so let me warn you about 6x9s! I went out and bout the Alpine R types 6x9s and thought and was told that this would give great deep bass. Lying sack of #%@’s. The back deck in our cars are to thin and all they do is vibrate! I spent 400.00 on 2 pairs of Alpines that don’t put out have the bass as the stock speakers did. True if the back deck was reinforced it would sound badass but that would be a lot of work and ad a lot of weight to the car.
This is what I suggest doing. Spend the money on a GOOD pair of component speakers. This will give more mids and put the tweeters higher in the doors. For the back go with a lower watt 6x9 just to give a little more sound out of the deck. Then go out and buy a pair of subs!
I myself am going to get rid of the Alpines and go with 8in subs in the doors, and put some cheap Infinities in the back to ad to the highs.
Let me know if I’m the only one with the 6X9 problem. I’m curious to hear if any one ells has had this problem

Well, now I have in the rear deck of my 1st gen pro a pair of JBL 6x9 180W and I don't have the problem of vibration but the sun are destroying my rear speakers.
Were in the doors you will intall 8" sub woofer? it will hit with the window down...in what doors you will install it and how, any tips?

Its actually really easy to reinforce the rear deck, I have some pioneers and a 12"sub in a ported box in back. The rear deck used to rattle like all hell!

To reinforce it just use some carpet insulation, the kind you get a homedepot or lowes. Get the good stuff though, its still really cheap. Then cut it into the shape of the rear deck leaving out the (speaker holes) and using some spay adhesive to hold it on. Really easy stuff. The added padding stops rattles.

I'll have to try that this weekend.
Has far as the 8s in the doors you have to make a kick panel but the 03s have the speaker hole for 6in already, Im just gona make it bigger!
