It will fit under the seat - barely - of the P5. I won't be able to install in until August (my wife and I are going on a 1 month road trip, would be nice to have it, but I'm on vacation so I can survive!). I was really happy with the sounds for the short (1/2 hour or so) that I listened to it. When I turned the crossover down, I thought it was quite nice. At higher crossover points (say over 70-80 Hz as marked on the control that comes with it), it started to get buzzy like there was some resonance at higher volumes, which I didn't like. As for power, of course it won't compete with my other setup, but the amp in the woox is a D class amp, so it will be pretty efficient.
To mount the woox under the passenger seat of the P5 will require that I disconnect the cable at the front of the seat that joins the two rails. I looked and I looked and I concluded that this cable would not be required either functionally or structurally, so it will have to go. I didn't try under the driver's seat, it has some extra stuff for the seat cushion adjustments that the passenger side won't have.
I will be mounting the sub to the seat, so I can get clearance to move the seat (I don't think you would be able to move the seat more than a couple inches if you bolted it to the floor), so I'll have to make sure I dampen the mounts to reduce vibrations. I will be mounting an amp under the driver's seat for the door speakers, and it has a line out for the sub input, so it will work out nice that way.
I think it's a bit of a risky install (sound quality wise), but I wanted some extra low frequency, and this fits the bill. I will definitely post back here when I'm done it, and with you guys leaning on me, maybe I'll get it done finally

Are you certain the cable under the seat is not a necessary component?
Usually, these cables are for the seat adjustment mechanism - on most cars, there is a latch on each seat rail, and the cable ties them together so that the lever actuates both rail stops at the same time.
Do yourself (and us ) a favor and be sure - cutting that cable might render the seat unmoveable. I find it hard to believe that the cable serves no purpose at all. Just be sure before snipping it - you might even be able to extend it, and just run it over the top of the wOOx unit.

I didn't try under the driver's seat. There is a rod that runs across the front under the driver's seat that the passenger seat doesn't have (part of the height adjustment stuff), and I seem to recall when I was trying stuff out that it would have gotten in the way. The woox will be a very close fit.
As far as the cable I need to move, it is not part of the adjusting mechanism (that's what I thought it was when I first poked my head under there), but it is just a cable that runs between the two rails and isn't attached to anything that moves. Fortunately I don't have to cut it, it can be removed without wrecking it in case I find out I need it....hmm, it's kind of odd, that seat didn't used to be out on the hood like that before I may be able to extend the cable as you said though.

The cable, not wire, is a stranded cable like that used for the seat adjustment mechanism, and it is just attached to the frame rails on each side. There is no electrical connection, or moving connection that I could see when I had the seat off for test fitting. So I don't think it would have any link to the side airbags (which I don't have). This cable is only on the passenger side. On the driver's side, there is a rod in the same place which is part of the seat height adjustment mechanism.

Has anyone seen these speakers yet? I think you'll be hard pressed to find a better space saving speaker. A buddy of mine helped design these and I have heard them. Very impressive sound and there are some high performance versions in development that should be out soon.

I have heard them, and have a pair in the shop for use at some point in a project. I am playing quite a bit with Blaupunkt products these days and am very impressed so for. To me some of the best stuff for the dollar on the market. These still require building a box compared to some of the self contained solutions that have been mentioned. The Infinity Basslink cannot be beat for the price so far, but we are all interested to see how the WOOX performs-

Boston 10" premade is good
- installed 2, like most Nostons if their is any distortion it will let you know, not a sub to realy crank.
Basslink has performed well
-installed 3 of them, 2 were great on was junk but I am virtualy positive its becuase of te cars factory audio system.
JL micros are amazing being their only an 8"
- I have personaly used the tripple micros
- excellent overall performance, they can jam with the best of them.
Being that it is an amp built in I would stay with the basslink if money is an issue unless you have a factory amplified Grand am.
