Sound damping...

I want to get some sound damping stuff for my doors, I'm about to install a complete system and I want it to sound as good as posible, I found this product, it includes what I need to sound dampen(sp) all 4 doors, has anyone used this product/brand? is it a good deal?

thanx

I'm only doing the doors because :
a) I don't feel like taking apart the interior.
b) Being a 1.6l, extra weight DOES matter...you know that .

go on ebay, and search for Dynamat. I got the trunk kit for 75 dollars, which is an exceptional deal. I only put it on the trunk lid so far but what a difference it makes. No rattle and I am packing some heat in my system now so it ain't bad.

Yes but I used only 1 and a half sheets on my trunk, if you know what you are doing you should have plenty left over. I still have a half a sheet of xtreme dynamat and 3 sheets of regular dynamat. So why not go with the name brand. presentation wise, it looks better too. So go roll your eyes somewhere else. J/k man.

Yeah but when you add in the amps/speakers/capacitors etc. it starts to get really heavy.

This is from a post I made last year...

McMaster-Carr and MSC Industrial Supply sell a product that is exactly the same thing as dynamat but WAY cheaper. Its texture is slightly different and it doesn't say dynamat on it, but it is the same stuff.

The part number on MSC is: 01925437

Mc MasterCarr P/N is 9709T18

Just type "sound control" Sound Damping" or try both in the search field on either site. Theres lots of good of information/products related to sound absorbing, blocking and damping products.
