Sliding rear seats

Sliding rear seats
Hello all:
I was looking through all the other global Mazda sites the other day (becuase I have so much time - yeah right!!), and on the MAZDA UK site, I noticed that the rear seats in the Protege 5 recline for the comfort of back-seat passengers on long trips. Actually, the seats fold in all sorts of ways. Personally, I think this is the coolest thing ever. My questions:
1. Have any of you heard or seen this before?
2. Is it possible to alter a North American P5 to do this?
I am super interested in this? Any info would be appreciated.
thanks.

Well, they have better headlights too...
What I think happened was that they had to ditch these seats to comply with North American standards:
1. BIG fuel tank
2. Child seat anchors - the ones on the bottom bolt to the body, so you can't have that with sliding seats.
Did you notice the fold-flat front passenger seat in the same PDF file, sorta like on Matrix?
