hey, i was wondering if it was possible to mod the side mirrors to fold in when the car is turned off, & then back out again when it opens. i can make a contraption to do the switching to the motor to swing the mirrors in & out, but need to find a mirror capable of this. also wondering if ne1 else has done this. BTW, i have a 97 pro lx. got this idea off my dads izuzu, but his runs off a button that u push to do it, & those mirrors were gay as hell. gimmie ur opinions, please. peace

 

hmmmi imagine any mirror that folds already could do it.... just put a lil hydrolic piston inside of it... you would ahve to cut the mirror base in half pretty much and attach it and then glue it back together and then sand it and hten repaint it but iono... seems really hard and expensive just for some mirros....

I also just thought of this... take your dads mirrors and your mirrors, and just gut his out and place the stuff in yours or a mirror that would fit... go to a junkyard and ask for replacements for that izuzu

 

Probably could use a wheelchair motor. You can sometimes find those lying around either a wheel chair place used or like a nick nack type of odd end store.
