Looks like it will work.
In the the November issue of Sport Compact Car, page 219, there is a picture of them, and they look just like the protege 5's.
But there are two types, front and rear, I'm not sure if they are the same size, or is it one takes a bulb and the other doesnt. I use to have a 94 RX-7, should have paid attention to the bumper lights I guess.

More info.
Ok, looks like the front on the RX-7 have light sockets in them. So for those early 2002 PR5 owners, here is a way to get a blinking sidemarker without hacking the fender. They are $55, I think I will order them, and if they dont fit, someone on the RX7 forum will probally buy them.

why spend so much money on rx7 clears when you can easily mod celica clears....

Yea..the rx7 side markers work. Its not an exact fit but you would need to shave off some plastic parts of the lights on the back in order for it to fit. It fits mine and it looks great. I just need a camera to show yall.
