Shinny Silver things?

Shinny Silver things?
Hi there, I really don't know much about Cars, but I went the Mazda dealership and saw this long metal plates that saw Mazdaspeed on them, they were really shinny and looked totally cool...I think they are for when u enter in the car, like by the door, am I right?....What is the correct term for these items, and how much should they cost?

They're probably door sills. The go on the bottom of the door openings.
