seat removal and install

ok, now that I've determined that i cant figure it out myself, I'll ask for help. I got the R1(e speed) seats that were for sale on the forum, but i can't figure out what parts need to come out. do i take EVERYTHING out? the seat off of the rail? can someone give me a how-to one getting seats out and in with universal brackets? please help!

Tou're probably gonna have to put the brackets on the seat and then put the seats in and mount the brackets to the floor. I don't really know how to mount the brackets to the seat (there should be instructions), but your old seats should come out with brackets by taking off four bolts (one on each corner of the seat). Hope that helps.

hey man, im not sure, but i was under the impression that you just bolt on the sliders and it fits right in, but i dunno....i know someone on the forum does know however...heh

Hey, on another note, how do you like the R1 seats? im thinking very seriously about buying some. Are they comfy? i think the stock seats are pretty comfy already but i like the look of the R1 seats. So any feedback you can give would be great!

Hey. I changed me seats in my 323, it took some doing, but they went in.

Here's what I did:

1. Removed old seats, seat rails and all.
2. Test fit my "new" MX-3 seats with the MX-3 seatrails, didn't fit... soooooo
3. Removed seat rails from old seats, as well as new seats.
4. Mounted seat rails from old seats onto bottom of new seats (hardest part, getting it right)
5. Slapped the new seats with old rails in place, and tightened those bad boys down.

Of course I over-simplified a lot of it... Like I said, mounting the seat rails on the new seats wasn't too much fun, but I got it done with the help of my dad, and an angle grinder. Let me know if you have any other questions.

hey i just put mine in

Hey whats up I just put my seats in. I used the stock brackets and sliders. I took some pics also. its a bit of a pain taking the brackets and sliders out. You have to take the seats out and disasemble the whole thing. The drivers side fit the best but you will have to make the holes in the stock brackets wider to line them up correctlly. the other side comes off as two peaces so width ain't a problem but its about 2inches longer than my seats. so for right now i bolted 2 pieces of una strut two the seat and brackets. they fit ok and the sliders work but the plastic covers don't fit back so its kind of ugly and you will be sitting up higher then stock so its kind of weird. I bought a pair of D.A.D. seats that came with sliders I planning on buying some universl brackets or maybe civic brackets. If your over 6ft tall your hair will hit the roof. If any one knows another bracket that will fit please lemme know.
If you need some pics email me at jcperformance@ msn.com
