Thats like $250 US! I can't belive its that much. My friend had to replace the center trim in like 2002 Civic EX (its sliver like ours) and it was only $80. I am hoping its just more in Canada but I doubt it since I used to live there (Sask.) and generally found stuff a bit cheaper.
Does anyone know how much this trim costs here in the US?

I too had the problem getting it out- mine on the left side. The tabs on the radio were bent way out. I had to stick the removal tool in at a wicked angle to get it around the metal tab where it needed to be. Until I did that, I scratched it too, and I had taped around the opening (it's a tiny scratch, I'll try the hairspray) and cut my finger but that's another story. Anyways, don't smash the unit yet get a good look in the hole with a flashlight first and find the tab.

Thanks for the help but I already got the HU out last weekend. Now my major concern is the center trim b/c I have some major scratches on it.. well that plus getting around to Dynamating my entire car, and getting a new amp to go along with my 2 12" Fusion subs that I need to build a box for.. :-)
So yeah, I have a lot of work to do.
