Rotating Tires

You can rotate your tires at home by yourself right? If so, do I rotate them driver front <-->driver rear & pass. front <-->pass. rear? i know it depends on the type of drive it is, but for a protege is that how you do it?? thanks.

The manual says front to back, just as you outlined in your post. I rotated mine last month. I was too lazy to go get my jackstands, so I just used my spare to swap the tires front to back.

Yes, you can do it at home. All you need is a pair of jack stands, and a jack. The stock jack will work just fine, just don't apply ANY pressure to the car while it's held up by the jack.

on top of everything else....if you look in your manual it recommends rotating our tires every 3750 miles.....well that is not much different than 3000 miles...which is how oftern most of use change our oil.....so its a good idea to just rotate your tires every time you change your oil...that way the wear stays really even and it makes it easy to remember to do it.
