Removing the OEM Double Din

Hey I'm an audio noob, is there a dash setup for the mazda protege 02 es that allows you to install two single dins into the double din?

i.e. one cd/dvd deck and one indash monitor deck.

If there are such setups where can I find them or order the dash setups? Thanks.

Havent heard of them being made, but I have seen it done before.. i wouldnt imagine it being that hard... just take out the piece...put in the HU and put the other one in... what you cuold do is buy the piece that makes the 2 din one din.. and then cut out the bottom part of it so it covers up the dash like it was still 1 din... i dont know how to explain it... i got it in my head if that helps though

there is no paricular bracket for this, it is easy to do. I have done a blaupunkt with thier indash 6 disc changer before, and am doing the same in Premier hardware in a MSP now.
It does take a little fitting of both products. Use some black weatherstripping foam between the upper and lower units.
The other major trick/concern is to make sure to bolt the rear ends down to the frame, and togther with a backstrap to assure they won't rattle or bang into one another...
Let us all know how we can help- the regulars here are a great bunch.

Thanks yall.

Thanks yall, I'll try pulling out my oem deck and see what I can do. I'm not really looking to buy the combined alpine dvd/monitor single din deck. Its way out of my price range, isn't that thing like $1500 biggies?

Anyways thanks again, I'm going for the "cheapo" setup haha. If you guys have any more suggestions please feel free to continue this thread, I'll keep checking it to see if anything else works.
