Question recommended Spker brands.

Hey all, in about a week or 2, i'll be getting a deck and some speakers installed.

I wanted to know what brand/model speakers are good, for high/mid/low ranges.

and with the 5x7 in front and 6.5 in the rear.

i am not going to add an amp and sub.....

Go MB Quart 6.5 and tweet component in front and back. There is no better speaker you can get for mid-high range sound.

yes, the search would be helpful, but i'd like to add this: ditch the 5x7's and go with a round spkr (preferably 6.5"). it'll need a bracket but imo it sounds sweeter.

and yes the mb quarts are good, but sample some of jl audio's xr line. impressive is an understatement.

thre are a lot of good spkrs out there, but it all depends on what you want. try to sample them for yourself and see if you can hear the differences and which one suits you. but for starters, heres some lines i like: fusion, jl audio, infinity, mb quart, gs design, massive, dei, crystal... and the list goes on.

car audio can really suck sometimes.

I'd definitely check out Bostons. I've had mine for years (both in the car and at home) and I just love the sound from them. Lot's of other good brands too, just let your ears do the choosing.

yeah, i forgot about that search thing...

I'm not also sure what brands are in my area.
being in mississauga, canada.

I know i can get well know names like JL, JVC, infinty, and others....
But i'll start hiting the shops early next week.

Check south of the line, too. I always seem to find much better selection in any electronics products there than I do here. It's not always a price issue that I buy from the U.S.

mike, do you have paypal? there are quite a few places online that are now accepting paypal as a form of payment. it's pretty safe/secure, and if you can find a reputable car audio dealer (ppl who've dealt and had good exp's) then i'm sure you'll be able to find a lot of good stuff online!

Hi

I have no idea if you have any possibility to have DLS speakers (swedish). I got DLS 6.5" coaxials into front doors and I really like that sound, it's beautiful. With an assembly ring ? it's easy to put 6.5" s into 5x7"/6x8" places and this way it's a lot more easier to find suitable speakers for a suitable price

yeah, check around town and see what you can find. the only real advantage the internet might hold is maybe a lower price. local shops have the stuff in stock, they can do the install, and if anything goes wrong, it's usually just a short trip to get it fixed. plus, you'll be able to compare spkr brands as well.

what are you leaning towards right now?
