Rear speaker deck removal...

I have a 2000 Protege. How do you remove the deck behind the rear seats to get at the speakers? I removed the clips behind the seat when you fold them down, pushed the whole panel up, but the anchors for the baby seats are in the way. The speaker grills look like they don't come off the rear panel. I can't seem to figure out how to remove the anchors.

Also, which wire is the +ve? The one with the white stripe or the one without?

The plastic covers pop off the seat anchors. Start at one side pullin outward. When that side feels free you should be able to lift up and remove the cover. The third brake light also pops out with a bit of prying at the back. Unplug the cable to the third brake light and remove it. Get all of the plastic push tabs behind the rear seat backs, then pull up on the front edge of the shelf cover. It should pop off. The speaker covers are integral to the reast of the cover, and do not come off seperately.
