Re-doing the interior... NEED HELP!!
Well, I considered getting costom tight-fit covers for my seats, but I don't exactly have $800-$1000 to drop on that. So I'm gonna do it myself. Remember those home-ec classes in middle and high school? Well, I kinda payed attention and know how to sew a little bit, although I've done nothing like this. I'm thinking because I have a grey interior, and have painted some of the plasitc parts in there black and silver, of keeping with that theme. My plan is to do a slightly darker shade of grey on the outer part of the seats with a black ultresuede insert running down the headrest and through the center of the seat (to keep with my hood scheme) with silver piping out-lining it all. I guess my question is if there are any patterns out there I can use to help me in this and/or if anyone has any experience with this that can pass on some words of wisdom/direction to help me? Thanks

well my mom sews so i've kinda watched what she does my entire lifewhat you could do is look at the seats and you'll see how the covers on there are basically broken down into sections and then sewn together i would just make your own pattern make measurements of each individual piece and then kinda sketch it out onto paper and pin it to your fabric and stitch it all together i dunno thats how i'd do it personally either that or if there is a way of taking the cover on the seat off take them off and then cut and sew your new fabric onto them

Your best bet might be getting a pair of half-*** junk yard seats and taking them apart section by section to use as patterns for the new material. That way if they don't turn out like you want them then you have not screwed up the seats you have now. Just a thought. hope that helps.
