A quick Q-n: Are stock wires good enough...

I upgraded my speakers recently. I got the Type S Alpines, but I used the speaker wires that were in my car - the stock ones. Should I consider replacing the stock wires with the the ones that came with the speakers?

I'm sending over 75w rms through them and it sounds fine, I was a litle hesitant at first but it saves you the pain of running new wires.

the TINY stock wires, as small as they are, will be more than adaquate for up to about 80 watts/channel.

sure saves a LOT of hastle running new wires to the doors if you are going to stay at or below that.....

My head unit pumps out only 26Wrms per channel. My speakers can handle about 50Wrms... It looks like I'm good for now.

Yeah, I ran new wires. It is a real pain in the ****. if you are sending the signal right from the HU then I would not go through the trouble. Parks853

Yes, I am using my HU right now.
I plan on upgrading it though. The one I want to get is slightly more powerfull, but not enough to require upgrading the wires as well.
