Wow thats really sucks what you went through with the Wantaugh service department. I would have been fit to be tied. I hope I don't need to see them that often. Good thing our Protege's are dependable.

I actually bought my car through Phil and financed with Larry also. Liked them both. By the way, did you buy the extended warranty? Thinking about it but will probably wait and shop around. They told me that the price they quoted me is only good for 30 days after I took delivery, and it goes up afterwards.

Let me know how you make out with the windows. I'm going to take some pics hopefully today. I'll shoot'em to you when I have them

Every recording's sound quality is dependent on the quality of the master it was made from, and the technique used to copy it. I was just referring to the quality differences between the two formats. The are both very good, and the automotive environment is definitely not the place to differentiate between the two. There can be audible differences elsewhere though.

Barely, though. I would challenge anyone to hear the difference between a CD and an MP3 on CD (ripped from an original) in a car stereo at 60 MPH. The quality loss is so negligible - done right with a decent ripping program and a decent burner, you can't hear any difference. Downloaded tunes are subject to all kinds of irregularities, so they can often sound crappy. But ripped direct from CD kicks ***.

My problem was with it's CD loading mechanics. Even when the car was brand new, the CD player was slow to load and sounded like it wasn't going to last long. I want a better all around system anyway, so it was gone quickly.
