Question about Knuconcepts

I just tried ordering every thing needed for a ground kit including new battery terminals and got to where you fill out your payment method and completed. Next you click "Check Out", but it puts me on the search page. I tried this 4 times and it redirected me to this page. Blue, has this happened to you? I didn't just order the same **** 4 or 5 times did I? It didn't say anything about order being completed, so I doubt it went through.
Not bad though:

10- 4gauge terminals (I got extra)
1- positive battery post with two 4 gauge inputs and a 1 gauge input
1-negative battery post with the above wiring options
20 feet of O2 free Blue wires

All for $62.70 which includes shipping ground

Try disabling ZoneAlarm and go through the checkout process again. That may be it.

I had problems when I ordered my Dell last year. I found out the next day that they shipped me two exactly configured systems! It was already shipped so I was told to refuse one of them which I did, but it was a mess trying to get the minimum payment down because it looked like I borrowed twice the money and was credited half. Now that the minimum payment is lowered, I could double up on payments to pay it off. I will give it another shot, but what happened was I get my to the 2nd step and then to complete the process by clicking the check out button, I go to a search category.

For some reason it wouldn't go through at that time, but I did it again and it went through because I have a summary and order number. Thanks though.

Do you have ZoneAlarm or something like that?

MisterT...If the order has not gone through yet, I just wanted to let you know of problems I had with their battery terminals. I got the same ones and went through them because the screw to tighten down the terminal on the battery post would strip in the aluminum housing. I ended up getting some Lightning Audio Strike series ones and they are much better quality. Otherwise, their wires and stuff are great. I got the BCMU2 connectors from thezeb.com. They are a little more expensive, but for piece of mind of having a good connection is worth it.

Good Luck

Too late, order was made. DOH! Did you use it to disconnect a good bit before the problems? I am hoping that this is a one deal only, but may upgrade wires to the atlternator if there is a way to get to it. I was under the car Friday looking at it and saw two plugs. I didn't attempt to remove them because it is hard to get to it and don't know how hard it would be to unplug and pull wire from the battery to upgrade. Have you done that before? If so, any pointers? I have the 2.0 liter engine, so I can't get to it from the top of the engine like those with a 1.6 liter. Also, I would definitely get ramps before doing that again. Imagining the car falling on me because it is held up only by the car jack isn't very reassuring Where have you been any ways? haven't seen you in a while

At least get yourself some good stands! I tried putting new wire on the alternator, but will have to redo them as I hooked the wrong wire up and my alternator stopped working. Not a good thing. I will go back under there soon and reo the wiring to the alternator though. The problems I had with the connectors were with the battery posts only. All other connectors were fine and as a matter of fact I have some of their 1/0 gauge ring terminals that I have not used. If you need any, let me know.

I was away last weekend and just haven't had the time to get on the forum this past week as much

So basically the wire that "ties" in to the alternator is a battery terminal type of hook up versus a plug in? How difficult of job is this? I am going to start with a ground kit and hopefully that will do the trick.

No. I am not sure exactly what type of connections can be used for the alternator. I do know one of them can be a standard type ring terminal:

and not one of the larger set screw types:

I have a few of the set screw type terminals in both 0/1 gauge and I think I have a few 4 gauge if interested.

I ordered extra, but thank you any way. I am not sure about tackling the alternator just yet. I figured I would try the ground kit and see what happens, then go from there. I don't want to get myself in to something without knowing what I am up against.

Well, Hopefully I will try to tackle mine this weekend and if I do, I will post some pics and info to make it easier on you.

That would be great. I know the MP5s have the 2.0 liter engines. I saw at Autozone, they have plastic driveup ramps for around 25 bucks. Not bad at all considering they won't rust so you can keep them outside if you want. It's a lot more assuring than a tire jack! I have left over power cables lying around so I could do it except I have to know what's involved otherwise, I am screwed. Thanks! Those rims you have look like the one that this guy with a Volkswagon is trying to sell for only $600 which includes shipping. I was so tempted to get them, but it would have wiped out most of my savings His car is black like mine. It would make it look so much better on 17's versus 16's. They are on the For Sale forum.
