anyone wanting to upgrade your sounds in your protege5? just wanted to post this in case anyone needs the info.

front door- 5x7"/6x8", mounting depth is 2.5 inches
rear door- 6.5", mounting depth is 2.0 inches

pretty sure no mods needed for fronts (just a "drop in") but the rear speaker location may need slight drilling for holes to line up. as for rear mounting depth, 2.0 inches is very shallow. i'd suggest a local shop if possible so that you can return it if it doesn't fit.

also, i hear the wire harness is available for the hu. i had my wires spliced (harness wasn't out yet), but i think circuit city has 'em now.
