I read somewhere that you can buy radio pullers for Ford cars and it should come out pretty easily.

Okay guys I installed my deck and a triple gauge panel (autometer nitrous,air/fuel and fuel pressure).

The stock deck was a royal pain in the ***!!! I personally cant see how a few pieces of coat hanger could have done the trick...I ended up using two flathead screwdrivers. I also had to craw underneath the dash on both sides (removed the glove box) to see what the hell was keeping that damn thing on. One big thing that I noticed was that even after I had the metal clips bent in and no longer holding the deck in....it was STILL a pain in the *** to pull out! There is a rubber piece that is plugged into the back of the deck this piece is plugged into the radio support behind the deck...it is just plugged into a hole in the support. It makes for a hard time pulling out the deck after the metal clips are bent...I ended up cramming my hand into the hole between the **** and grabbing the back of the deck...that is how I pulled it out...it did not come right out because of the rubber plug...but I kept pulling and it popped out....instant relief

1)Does anyone have part numbers for the wiring harnesses? I'm having a helluva time finding it. One Circuit City told me there is no such beast, haven't tried Best Buy.
2) Was anyone able to buy the harness at Best Buy/Circuit City, if so which one? If not, where did you order it?

Thanks

A 2001 protege wiring harness works fine. You have to t-tap the illumination wire though as it is the only wire missing from the harness. Really no big deal unless you wanna wait.

Good news, BEST makes one now too, model #BHA7902. I think it's missing a wire that controls the dimmer settings (When you turn your lights on, it dims your radio), but i was never a big fan of the dimnation

All you have to do is t-tap the illuminaton wire from the factory harness, like I did with my 2001 Protege harness and it works fine in the p5's.
