Possible Taillight Whiteout Method?

Possible Taillight Whiteout Method?
Anyone have a known method to clear out the 97 model of the Protege? Saw a picture on here of a purple Protege with its tail lights cleared out. Maybe someone used Photoshop to get our hopes up.

Clearing lenses
Well fellas, I went and picked up a spare driver side tail light. My brother-in-law and myself spent about an hour taking apart the damn thing.(Very thick glue, and lots of it.) The lens is now sitting in a bucket filled with bleach. I'll let everyone know how it turns out.

Results
Well, they've been sitting in a bucket filled with Clorox Bleach for the past 24 hours and nothing has changed to the lights. Unfortunately this method of clearing tail lights doesn't work on the second gen tails. Sorry folks. If anyone hears anything about another method please let me know, as I now have an extra taillight to experiment with.

Do y'all think it will make a difference if you heat it up in the oven first? Just an out of the blue thought. It may sound stupid. Hmmm...Are there any kinds of acid that can strip color?

Yeah i recall that thread, went no where! this one is actually going somewhere.
Hey didyou take the lights apart before bleaching? If not that might make a difference, acids might not be a good idea, could simply destroy the lights.
