Pics of the finished lowered door lock

Hey, so after my departments camera was stolen I found the very old digital camera in a drawer, so if the quality sucks, that's why.

Use this link to see how the mod was done.

http://www.protegeclub.com/forum/sho...5&pagenumber=2

and these are the pics of the finished product.

Smooth cruizin from now on.

Stocker

edit- I need a real server

Thanks Jay!

Mod looks cool! I don't think I'd do it as my arm never hits it, but I could see it as an option for some.

Man, that is a very nice job. I have a 97 Pro, and mine does go in all the way, and it is really sweat when you are cruising around.

The links if you don't want to poke around in the page source are:

http://www.geocities.com/purple_haze25/khlock.jpg

http://www.geocities.com/purple_haze25/khlock2.jpg

Except when I just tried it I got "page unavailable." I think they've pulled those pictures for this "this will get your page killed" reason:
* Pulling files from your GeoCities account to a location outside of Yahoo! GeoCities, such as auction sites, message boards, and other web sites.

I did the lock on the drivers door on my P5. It doesn't take long, about 20 minutes or so. You remove the door panel, unthread the lock, cut about 3/4 of an inch or so off the thread rod, then re-attach the lock, put the door back on and you're done! It is nice not to have that goofy thing in the way anymore!

It was the first time I took the doors off, so a half hour per door.

Hey homer, could you pull the pics and post them up properly? my server sucks.

In the second generation cars the lock closed down flush, and there was a notch down. The "****" itself had a protrusion into the notch.

The **** was shaped kind of like this:
|\
| \
| _\
| |
| |

but much more rounded at the top.
