Agreed Aaron. Red goes very well with most machinery because societal conditioning have us associating it in this manner.
Yellow is now considered the modern red in its function. Before, red was thought to attract the most attention, but psychological studies have shown that yellow combined with black elicits "hyper" awareness. As a corollary, your black ES will look sporty, elegant, and passionate with the red calipers AND if you had painted them yellow, your black ES will look modern, tight, and precise.
Red calipers with a yellow car IMO looks fantastic, but looks tooo passionate. I'd do it if the car was turbocharged.
Silver (my car) is a technical color. Very cold. I chose red calipers because it needed a bit of emotion.

The blue I'm talking about is RACING BLUE manufactured by G2, the same company as the brake paint I used. Mine was ROSSO RED.
