Sorry I kyped your picture but it is cumbersome to see....posting it like this with a hyperlink (I tried to get the picture to come up without a hyperlink, but no luck) would be much better to show it off...I think it looks great and may do it myself...

OK, so I did it! I don't have pics yet, but maybe soon. I was acctually able to get the bottom grills off. They too are just snapped on. I basically just popped them out by pushing from the back. The center piece was the easiest, but the fog light pieces (if u don't have fog lights installed) have 4 little things on the back that you have to push down, then push out to get them off. Not very hard either.

I put like 2 coats of primer, two coats of paint and 2 coats of clear coat on them. I'll try to get sum pics.

Where are you buying your primer, paint and clear coat and how did you apply it? Give us the details!

I got them at AutoZone. I used a multipurpose primer (not the same as a metal primer or it may not work) and Duplicolor Chrome spray for trim/accessory pieces. I used 4 coats of primer (0verkill) and 2-3 coats of chrome spray (it specifically says not to put too many coats on). I didn't use clearcoat on mine. I guess I should do that. I asked the guy at the store and he thought it wasn't necessary for clear coat. I don't know what to think of that though. He didn't seem to know much of any thing for that matter!

I didn't remove the bottom piece. I was afraid of breaking it in attempt, so I used tape and newspaper to cover bumper and lights.

not that it will help you, but I got all my stuff at Canadian Tire. They have "Perfect Match" spray paint for the car, and all kinds of primers and coats. (for those canadians wondering where I got my stuff)

I just uhh.. sprayed it on. It came out all nice and smooth. So its cool

2 screws on the inside come off (phillips), and there are 4 more that snap off. This is the top one. A breeze to come off unless it's a '99 or '00. The bottom I hear snaps off by pushing it from behind. The modication takes a sec. You just mainly wait for the thing to dry. You can't put too many coats of silver chrome paint on top of each other as noted on the can. I allowed a day for it to dry and that is it.

I have more pics on my SD site so they are on pages 6 and 7 if any one wants to see more pics. They were shot in the later afternoon whereas the pics of the car in the driveway were early afternoon.

What would look even better is just painting the top grill and finding a gutter guard a tad bigger than 3 feet long so that you could use that on the bottom. It's just a few inches short and I tried patching it as best as I could, but you could tell so I scrapped it and painted the grills. Unfrortunately too, the gutter guards scratched the lower part of the bottom grill when I was trying to set it in there.
