Tonight i was planning on painting my engine... n was wondering if regular car paint with a clear coat is good enuff to stay on the engine??
Any suggestions for color, tips to make it easier, or ne other tips in general for doin this, please lemme know....

lol regular car paints gonna burn off if you actually mean your engine? do you mean valve cover. or things like intake pipes etc. just get the high heat resistant paint, their actually damn cheap for how big the can is.
They make high-temperature spray paint just for engines. You should probably use that.
Start by cleaning the surfaces to be painted. It is often helpful to sand them just a little bit, because paint can stick to a slightly rough surface better than a smooth one.
Completely and thoroughly cover every conceivable surface that you don't want paint on.

i only primered it for now, dunno what color to go with... so far i have 2 choices, subaru blue, or black base with a blue pearl... both look nice
by the way money isnt an option for paint, im usin some from a friends dealership...

My engine has been painted with normal car paint the valve cover his the red of the civic 95 and the base of the enine his black pro lx 93 with two coats of clear it's been about two month that i drive the car and the paint didn't even change color even where the turbo his.
