Painted lower rear valence panel

I've been thinking about painting the lower section of the rear valence panel on my silver P5. Probably flat black or dark grey. Ever since I first saw the P5 it looked like that panel should be painted.

Has anybody already done this? Or seen one with it painted? Pics would be great!
