Painted Headlights

I got to repair a Protege 5 this week and was able to salvage the headlights.

Left light has a mounting tab cracked
Right light had some scuffs on the lens

Well I tore them apart and had our painter paint the inside, then I put them together and installed.

I think they look great because the Mazdaspeed Splitter is black too.
Oh, and I still have my stock ones.

couple questions..
how did u take them apart? over heating, electric heat gun? or somethin different?

What paint did you use for yours?

I know there are tutorials for this but I like to know what others have done that were succesful.

That looks so cool! Looks really good on the laser blue.

BTW, I like where you put the "Zoom-Zoom" sticker

painted mine!

Well, i slaved for several hours over my headlights and finally got them painted! It looks awsome. The walkthrough was very helpful. Thanks Ghost. Although, mine was a 2003.5 P5 so there were a few things here and there throughout the walkthrough that were different for me. No biggie though, is was easy to modify your walkthrough to what i needed. Thanks again!
