p5 shift ****

i've searched numerous times but haven't found exactly what i'm looking for, maybe someone can help me.
on a stock shifter, what shift **** would look ok? ok in the sense that it actually looks shorter than the stock **** (even if it's the same height, if it really is shorter the better) and doesn't look odd sitting on the non-short shifter. very subjective but a comment or 2 is better than none at all. any recommendations? and should i also be worried about the threading? from your experience or knowledge which one fits perfectly, not having to use the screws cuz i dont think i'd want to use them.

personally I don't like the ***** that require you to use set screws either....

SO....what you need to do is to ensure that the **** you get has a threaded insert in it with 10 mm X 1.25 thread pitch on it so that it will screw right on.

Anyone know any good sites that sell shift ***** at decent prices?

I would rather go with what Sir Nuke says, using a threaded insert that goes right onto the stock shifter.

Crutchfield has this **** that I like, but i think it uses set screws.

What I happen to be partial to is just a nice round ball...one that is 1 7/8" in diameter.....

I found a company called EPCO that will make you just about ANYTHING you want...and put the threaded insert into it...

I sent off for their catalog of custom shiftknobs and it was awsome the stuff they make. they will do inlays, designs....all sorts of stuff. and best of all.....it was only $45
