Sure enough, it was the Overdrive. I think it is defective. Not only is the crackling noise gone, but so is the whining noise. Audio Control's OD has a few grounding options (ground loops) which is because it can bring the noise in to a stereo system. The RCAs are all quality RCAs so that wasn't the problem. I took out the passenger seat (hopefully for the last time) and uninstalled the OverDrive and used the RCAs bunched up under the seat to run straight to the crossover. The other long RCA cord I used on the amp closest to where the 4 gauge power wires were run to the back (driver's side) and had plenty to route around the trunk and pulling the two other ones which were being used previously and had the male to male adaptor and volla no noise!

One question for sedan owners for 2000 on up. Do the trunks lock??? When I went to the movies over the weekend, I put my gf's purse back there and damn if I couldn't lock the SOB! So someone can just break in the car and pull the latch and there goes your subs and the box! That sucks! Also, I am surprised at the lack of trunk release button on the remotes. Oh well.
