New Sound.

This is my current Sony Explod and Infinity set-up.

1) Sony CDX-CA700X CD Receiver.
1) Sony XM-475GSX 4 channel 75 watts x 4 rms.
1) Sony XM-1600GSD Class D Mono 600 watts x 1 rms 2 ohm.
2) Sony XS-L121P5 Pentagonal 12 in. 350 watts rms.
6) Infinity Reference 5x7 two-way front doors, 6 1/2 two-way rear doors, and 6x9 two-way rear deck.

I wired the subs in parallel for a 2 ohm load for the mono amp. They have been housed in a custom ported 1.6 cu. feet enclosure.

The front 5x7s and rear door 6 1/2s Infinitys are wired in parallel for the front channels and the rear deck 6x9s are independently powered by the rear channels.

It sounds nice and clear at low volumes as well as high volumes. Couldn't be happier, I'll try to post pics someday.

personally, i have the biggest vendetta against sony's car audio products, however, i was wondering, how well do those pentagonal subs hit? just curious cause it was bound to be the next knock off of solobaric's square subs
