New Idea For DRL's
New Idea For DRL's
Ok, so I was thinking this. My DRL's are dsabled as it is now, but I jsut had a thought. It's too complicated to try, but I jsut thought I'd share anyway. I changed my parking lights to white, so this would look tight.
When the blinkers are on, the parking lights get realyl bright. Bright enough that seeing them in daylight is easy. I was thinking, these "bright" lights would be on all the time as DRL's, but would turn off when the blinker was activated. (Instead of turning on to blink, they turn off to blink.)
At night, the parking lights would override them so they're not too bright, and the blinkers would function as normal. What do you guys think?

I'd say it might look different. Not sure if I personally would like it.
The mod should be relatively easy as you pretty much have all the necessary wires right in the assembly.
However, how are you planning to have 2 modes for the new DRL's? Normal and bright?

Some of the newer GM cars are wired that way. I'm not crazy about it, because it means the DRLs are orange, but if you changed them to white, it would look pretty good.
The only thing I'd wonder about is whether it would have that "cross-eyed" look that some of the Saturns have, with the lights being so far inboard. Guess someone would have to try it to find out.
