Darryl will probably answer this question for you or someone else with a bit more knowledge on the subject, but do you know what the specs on the sub are, like how many watts it can handle? That will probably help in figuring out what you need

I don't think you can get a budget amp that will power the components and the sub. Well you could be I don't think your sub would hit very hard. But you can get a decent amp for about 150. 2 for 300. If you already have the wires then you won't have to pay for installation. While at those prices you are not going to get the very best in power you should be very satisfied. My kenwood 729 amp was 200 like 7 months ago. It powers my 2 kickers very well.

Brycer,
First get me the model number of your woofer. For a good but inexpensive amp I would recommend a coustic 400se, MTX 6152, or a Rockford fosgate 300s. If your sub is 4 ohms and you are only running one sub don't go a mono amp unless you plan on adding another woofer soon. Any other questions feel free to ask I have been in the car audio industry now for 11 years. I know a thing or two about it.

Since your not looking for AWESOME sounds and just a decent sounding system, pick a budget price and find a brand name yopu are comfortable with. I think a 4ch amp will do the job fine and can be had for under $350.
This allows for an easier upgrade down the line. Just add another amp for the subs and use the 4ch for the front/rear speakers. Now if your SURE you'll be upgrading in the future, i really suggest a 5ch amp, it may cost a bit more upfront, but in the long run will save you more money and space.

Ok listen
For the price and thump you want Get the New Lightning Audio--400.4 amp it puts out 200 st watts and 300 Bridged. This amps is loud and it can be tuned to hit heep and precise for a great sounding system, its easly comparable to Rockforde Fosgate 500A.2 but with more Watts. It sells for $149 to $230. Great deal
