OHHHH is that Heat shrink on the wires? I love heat shrink, sign of a good install!
Great photos of the detial of the work, very nice documentation. Did you mod the front covers, or did the plates fit alright for you?
Which deck it that, Poineer, but the unit?
AND- nice schematic of the setup, you should run it off and keep in the car to show folks when the ask (and they will ask when they hear it) about the system!
Congratualtions- nothing better and a self done install to make a car!!

Is that a Jensen 600 watt amp powering your door speakers? How does it sound? I might buy one off a friend and was wondering if they are any good. I've heard bad things about them.

LOL yep Jensen 500w XA2250, sounds GREAT! Jensen isn't that bad, my friend has the same amp and he got his before me for 10 bux LOL ($50 total, $20 for Sub, $20 for Box, $10 for Amp, it was 1 big peice) and he is powering 2 sony xplodes which sounds decent for how much he paid, he abuses it too and the jensen has worked flawlessly so i decided to get one

the thing is it can run 2ohm stereo w/HPF at 175w RMS x2 with a THD of <0.1%, that is cleaner and more powerful than the clarion 200w amp (which is rated at 110W RMS x 2 @ 2 ohms w/ 0.5% THD) i was gonna get and at half the price so i got the jensen at $150 CAD. since its 175W RMS that means that each speaker is reciving 87.5W RMS. and much cleaner power than my crappy 5%THD deck

BTW the deck is a Pioneer DEH-6400

My question is: How do you drive 4 speakers (Front and Rear) with a 2 channel amp?

I'm guessing that you connect the Left speakers (front + rear) in parallel and then connect the right speakers (front + rear) in parallel to the amp?

okay here is how it goes

Jensen XA2250: 175Watts RMS x 2ch @ 2ohm @ <0.1THD

right side speakers (F+R) are in parrallel on the right ch on the amp so since i have 2 4ohm clarion speakers, that gives me 2 ohm in parrallel which then gives me 87.5w RMS to each speaker (175 ? 2 = 87.5)

Left side is the same but on the left ch of the amp.

when you have subs turned on in the deck settings, it will treat the rear speakers as subs. when i had my speakers running off the deck internal amp it cut out all the highs in the rear door speakers via LPF. i didn't want this so i got an amp and since stereo is 2 ch anyways i just treated the Right F+R speakers on 1 side as the same and vise versa for the left

the weather protector (plastic thing) had a kind of a lip on it that fit on the stock speaker, but the clarions i had were too big so i cut the clip off, you can see in the picture with the cutters and the weather protector, then i drilled holes with a dremel
