My Protege5 Plans... me likey.
Here is my stock protege5 :
Here is my photoshopped realistic plan :
I wish to retain the delicate ballance that is the 16" wheel, as well as the perfect form of the stock body kit. So there is nothing too dramatic here, just a lip, wheels, slight drop, tint, and painted calipers. Everything else on the car will be suspension mods. Im not bothering with the lathargic engine, auto-x will be fine as it is.

What have you got in mind for suspension?

Very nice... I agree on losing the ambers... but the side molding really does serve a purpose and taking it off leaves you wide open to ******** in their SUVs swinging their doors open at free will. Love the rims... What does it take, both parts and cost, to give it that little drop?

Trim? Yeah, I'm leaving mine on too for the same reason, but it sure would look better; not practical, but better...

I did a layer with the amber side marker removed, and also tried one with it replaced by another clear reflector. I decided to leave the amber there because the side of that front bumper is oddly boring, and it almost doesnt stick out enough without it. It also brings some color to the front, which evens the car out with the red tails visible from the side.
As far as suspension goes, I'm a handling nerd. My first car was a 94 civic that could out handle almost anything on the road, and I'd like to have that again. The protege5 handles very well to begin with, so im excited to see what it can do in the cones. I plan on probably a 1-1 1/4" drop using a coil on strut kit, bigger sway bars front and back, tie bars, better bushings, larger slotted brakes with stainless lines, and I'll probably be tinkering with everything else in my spare time.
Oh and as for cost, who knows.. Ive found that parts for the protege are much more $$ than I was spending on honda parts for my civic or prelude.
Cost for install... who knows that either! I don't like other people touching my car, all done by me.
