yup....common 03.5 MSP problem......thats why I thought the 03's were better. They had ACTUAL SPARCO PEDALS. not the cheap covers. They also had authentic sparco *****, not the cheap mazda knock-offs....

Mazda really went out of their way to cut costs....even including refurbed kenwood audio componants.

I suggest just buying the real pedals. Problem permanently solved.

Oh come on Rod I love the Mazdaspeed shift **** and in fact I bought an aftermarket one and had it on for a while and could not stand not having the original **** on it (just feels better),but that will have to change when I put in the Kart Boy short throw shifter I am getting ready to buy soon.....

You might be correct on the pedal covers, but the 03.5 MSP shift **** is a beautiful piece... and of a lot higher quality than many of the shift ***** out there. AS good as the Sparco branded part that was on the 03MY car? I don't know. But I can gaurantee you this - it works just as well!
