Sorry, I brought up the issue.

My problem is I am torn. Part of me says they are rice and the other part likes the way they look. In a way, since the MP5 never existed, then I guess it would actually be more custom. Basically saying, this is what an MP5, if there ever was one, should be. It is not like taking Type-R emblems and putting them on a regular civic. The Type-R actually existed and the regular civic is nothing like it. I guees the MP5 emblems are equivalent to making up my name for a car and putting them on there.

Aw, hell. I am just talking out my ***. I don't know. Maybe I will try them, if I don't like them, off to ebay they will go.

Why is it that every time someone ask others opinions about a mod, that we get the "it's your car...do what you want...yadayadayada". we know all that, we just want opinions on what other think.

keep the board hate free!! Let's start a campaign.

i don't think it's rice. and believe me, we gots lots of rice in hawaii! BUT, i think pro's are the kinds of cars that can attract attention without "attracting attention", if you know what i mean.

i had this huge yellow "onehawaiian" on my windshield when the p5's first came out. i have since removed it and now my car looks even cooler. personally, i think the body design of the new pro's should be the focus of attention and not the little decals, which sometimes draws attentin from the car itself.

but then again, it's your car. if you like the decals, run with it for awhile and see for yourself if that's what you want. i mean, it's not permanent, right?

I have one of the MP5 decals/badges whatever on my P5 and at least for now I like it. It's not that big that it really stands out to attract attention.....and the way I see it.....don't alot of us refer to our cars as P5's? and isn't it a Mazda? therefore....M(mazda)P5....on a sticker/decal isn't making the car out to be something it's not. Just my opinion.
To each his own.......jus try em when you get em......if it's not the look ya want.....get rid of em....it's not like their gonna break tha piggy bank!

I like 'em

I saw the decals Rider is taking about yesterday when we had our "Official/Unofficial" first meet.

I had seen them on Protege5online.com but had been hesitant to buy any sight unseen.

I am now considering a set for my car.

To each his/her own. Do want you want. Advice is good to get but don't let the advice decide for you.

Like you said. Throw 'em on there, see how you like it after a few days and pop 'em off if you don't like them.

Old post but hey, I've been busy! Anyhow, the main reason that emblem I made says MP5 is because Protege5 wouldnt fit on an emblem thats about 3 or 4" wide. So, MP5 fit perfectly. I've sold hundreds of them so most people like them. They are small enough & they actually look stock. So most people dont even notice they arent supposed to be there or didnt come on the car. Not like all of the big Type R stickers some people put on Saturns!! But, again its your car, do with it what you want. If you want to drive around with a sticker that says "Grannys Little Girl" accross the back, do it! Its what you want!

Mitch,
You're right.....when my brother gave my car a good look over recently....he commented that his favorite thing on the exterior was the MP5 emblem......he thought it came stock.

Technically, it is an MP5 (Mazda Protege 5). There's nothing wrong with that, now is there?

I think since it is your car and you like it then go for it. If you are asking for my opinion I only like small decals and not a lot of them on a car. I have one decal on my Pro on the rear of the car that says Mazdaspeed on it.

I put mine in front of the door, maybe I should move them on to the door. I know that is where the MP3 has their stickers, but I wanted to be different.
