MP3 Bumper HELP ASAP PLS

I was wondering if a 2001 MP3 bumper would fit a 2002 Protege5 perfectly, cause i heard something about the front fender wells being off or something? Anyone do this yet?

Also anyone know the mp3 front bumper part# if anyone has done this mod?

Going to have to replace my front bumper and i hate those MP5 orange markers!

thanks!

The Protege5 has bumper turn signals on the side of the bumper.
The mp3 doesn't.

The bumpers are interchangeable - I know a guy who installed side markers behind the front wheels, and replaced the bumper to eliminate the stock orange markers. Or at least he was about to do it last time I saw him. You here Danny??

How about this....instead of replacing the whole bumper and having it painted....just take out the side markers, fill the holes, then paint it. If you use a GOOD body shop, then they can blend the paint. Either way, you don't pay for a new bumper when that little bit of body work is cheaper. Know what I mean??? I've beem pondering this issue, but I'm just hoping APC or someone comes out with clear markers.

I think the bumper help was due to an accident, so the replacement was necessary.

Painting the bumper if you remove the markers and fill the holes is no big deal - I actually had my front bumper repainted already under warrnty - some paint started to flake off for no reason. The body shop did an EXCELLENT job - I'm almost positive they removed the bumper to paint it - even I can't tell it was done - the color is perfect. They estimated $300-$400 to do it (if I had paid for it) - not too bad. If someone is looking to remove the bumper arkers, why not wait for those first few stone chips - then at least you'll have reason to paint the bumper.

As far as clear markers, the ones for a '96 (not sure of the year) RX=7 are a direct fit. Aftermarket clears are available, but they are pricey - $130-$150.

Do a search of the threads if you're interested - the link to them is here somwhere.

as for the clear markers if its of a US RX-7 it would have to be a 1993-1995 as those are the only years that generation of RX-7 was offered here. If its from Japan then I don't know.

Here's the link to the page with the RX7 clear markers - sorry for the error in the year:

RX7 Page

And for a pic, Click Here

Definitely pricey, but I have seen them for a little cheaper than the $160 asking price at this site.
