If i am leaving my original deck for my 2003 protege and plan to upgrade my rear speakers. What sort of wattage should i be looking for in the speakers?

thanks

I replaced the (awful!) stock speakers and the improvement was 1000%. The stock deck isn't bad, but those speakers are terrible. Kenwood and Pioneer make decent 6x8's for the front doors for 69-89$ range, and ditto the 6x9's in the rear deck, (or 5 1/4 rounds for the P5 rear doors). Whatever you buy will handle the stock deck's output. But replace all 4 and you'll be very happy with the improved sound.
