Unhappy Mazda Seats/Interior Questions

Ok, first of all I'm getting some kickass seat covers and I need to know:

What kind of seats are the front/back seats in a 1990 Mazda Protege SE? Are the bucket or bench? Also, which one of these are the front seats:

Low Back
Low Back w/ Adjustable Headrest
High Back
50/50 Seats (no armrest)
50/50 Seats (w 2/ armrests) <- not that I know for sure
2 bucks w ctr console and ctr cushion <- what?
Can someone please tell me which one they are?

Also, for the back seats... they're bench right? Well can someone tell me what type of seats they are exactly? The site I'm getting the seat covers from is www.automotiveinteriors.com If you can go there and find out which seats are standard for the 1990 Mazda Protege SE that would help me alot. Man I'm so confused...

Front seats are Lowbacks w/ adjustable headrest and the rear seats are a 60/40 split fold-down bench. The other ones you're talking about, like the ones with console **** are mostly out of pickups or Crown Vics and **** like that.

P.S.> What do the covers look like?

agree with AIR_SIK for the fronts.
for the rear ?? - all they list is 70/30...maybe best appl would be solid/w headrests??

Unhappy sigh....

Is there any site with seat covers that will fit the mazda? automotiveinteriors.com looked promising but it seems like they don't have the fit for the rear seats , anywhere else? Or is there seats for sale that are real cheap?

Talking woohoo

I just e-mailed automotive interiors and I hope they can solve my problem. Now all I have to do is wait... hopefully this works out. Then my interior dreams will come true.

Woohoo

Automotive interiors replied and they said they have seat covers for my 1990 Mazda Protege SE and they cover the entire seat. Let me copy and paste what she said:

Hello Mavurik,

Thank you for visiting our website. Excellent description of
your seat configurations!! Yes we do offer Custom-Fit seat
covers for your vehicle, provided the rear seat does not have
a pull down armrest in the larger part of the seat back. These
seat covers will give you full coverage and are made to be
installed with hog ring fasteners for a permanent fit. The only
DESIGN choice that these seat covers can be done in is the
CLASSIC DESIGN, please view our webpage:

http://www.automotiveinteriors.com/pictures1.htm

This will ensure that you get the proper fit needed for your
particular seats.

Marie

Next I e-mailed her asking what caps are and also which item to select from the drop-down menu for my back seats. She then replied:

Hello Mavurik,

Sorry I should have read further and I would have answered all
the e-mails at once.

The cap is done in the smooth material, this has to be done so
that it can accomodate the small headrests in the rear. You
can to the front buckets without the cap, if desired.

Marie

Hello Mavurik,

Under the REAR SEAT (Bench) select the 70/30 split back with
truck access.

One other question, are your headrests on the front bucket
seats solid, or do they have a hole in the center of them?

Marie

I then e-mailed her back saying they have a hole in the center. Now lets see what she says... hmm, well at least I can get them YAY

I just went to the junkyard yesterday and found some brand new MX3 seats..........they were spotless........
I don't want them, but I would suggest going to the junkyard near you .............it is likely that you'll find a pair...
