looking for factory plug
Hi,
I have a 95 Protege, and I was planning on doing a HU install, but the person who owned the car before me cut off the factory stereo plugs. I have some plugs for the stereo unit itself, but is there anyplace that would sell a replacement factory plug?

first off dahotboykj, Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to our Club. There are TWO BIG fridge'S in the corner with anything you can think of in them...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have.
make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom don't care....and take it easy.
oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.
Welcome!!
What you are looking for you can get one of two ways.....
1. find a car in a junk yard and cut off a good hunk of the harness so you could splice all the wires and have the plug....OR
2. buy what is refered to as a REVERSE harness. its what the guys above have described...its a harness that those companies make that will plug into the back of your stock radio....its TRUE intended purpose is to allow you to install a factory radio into a car that it was not originally designed for....but it will work in this case as you need it to.....get the harness and just match up the wiring and splice it in....and you are ready to go.
