Lights (LED)

Does any one know how to make LEDS flash in a series. Meaning you have 5 of them. And the first one comes on. Then before the next one comes on the first one goes off. It would then do this all the way throught all the lights. I just want to know how it is done!!!! Cause this man that put my B-kit on...said he can make me some M3 style mirrors with the LED. I just want mine to be different from everyone bodys else.

Check out this site.

Check out the first one. I'm not aware of any modules to do this, maybe radio shack would have something.

alot of alarm vendors (both local shops and online) will have "scanning" LEDs, either in a fixed little dodad module or seperate LEDs for remote mounting.

yea I know that...but there's are small and won't work for what I'm doing. You see I'm going to get a hood scoop on my car.(custom made) and when we do it I want to put a set of leds in the scoop so that at night time I can turn them on and you will see them do the night rider effect!!!(but green LEDS) Plus I'm getting LEDs put in my side mirrors. LIke the M3 mirrors. I didn't want the hole mirror I just wanted the back part for the LED which I can get (custom made) I wanted those to just to go 1234 1234 1234 when you flip the blinker. That is why I wanted to know how to make them do that. Also the ones that you buy cost a lot. The ones that I have found cost anywhere from 20 to 35 dollars. And I'm not feeling it..but I will look around....

Do you know of any good sites to buy them from?? Maybe I can mess with them and get them to do what I want!!!!

Don't u mean 1234 4321 1234? That's how the LED lights ran on KITT...

I've thought of LEDs on the side mirrors that run off the side marker, but with orange or perhaps white reflectors

I don't think you are gonna find that its worth making your own light strip...20 to 35 bucks is nothing when you are doing such a mod. To be honest I think you will grow tired of the look and you will have put in WAY too much time and research into it...plus you run the risk of getting a ticket...blue lights in the front of a vehicle are reserved for emergency vehicles only...good luck!

ok...i'm not putting blue lights in it. the ones on my mirrors would be amber!!! and they would go pointer fashion...1234 1234

Then in my scoop that I'm trying to get I would have KITT right there.. Here is a pic of what the scoop would look like...

And yes that is my kit that I just got put on!!!!

The reason why I didn't paint it yet was because I'm trying to get that scoop and I'm trying to get all my fiberglass or body work done now before I get it paint so I don't waste money!!!! You see I'm also going to fill in the middle on the trunk. This way you would only see the side tail lights and not the ones on the lid. The only thing you would see is the reverse lights. Anyhow...hopefully I will have everything done by January!!!! if not sooner
