Light Tint

I just went out and bought a bottle of nite shades. And intend to tint my new fog light covers, tail lights and 3rd brake light.

Has anyone had any problems with there tinted tail lights? I hear there kind of illegal. BUt hope its one of thouse things where no one cares, like speeding.

Does anyone have pics with there lights on. I want to be sure that not too much light is tinted off.

So, Headlights/Tails/Sidemarkers/Bumper lights all smoked.

The great thing about the tails...they ended up having a nice ghost red effect to them...tinted, but when the light hits...the red stands out...looks sharp.

You can see the lights just fine...when you press the brake pedal...they light up perfectly!

All the lights work fine, reverse & turn signal/hazards

You might have to sand down and respray....remember, it's not a totally flat surface, so you really should spray in LIGHT, THIN coats....just to get a nice tint....not too dark you know.

Did you spray them outside while it's hot out, and brought the can out from a nice cool air conditioned house ?? If so there's your problem...the temp change will cause it to spray funny.......

I did my stockers with no problems...just spray nice even thin coats....too little can be fixed...too much presents a problem

I think the can was no good. It was not a uniform spray at all.

I painted them and they got bubbles it was just no good so I scraped all the stuff off. Then did 3 light coats, when that was all crappy I went back and did 2 thick ones to make everything smooth as glass.

Looks good but too dark to be used on the fogs. Nite shades seems to leave a purple tint, so im gonna have to check out some other optinons. It looked like a nice gray after the first couple just it wasent dark enough. When it was all done it was a terrible purple.
